It is 1973; the Vietnam war is occurring, and change is in the air.  First Baptist of Ivy Gap’s 100th anniversary picnic is a smashing success, except for one disaster.  To raise spirits (and funds), six of this Tennessee church’s leading ladies plan a talent show.  Such diverse women are a challenge to each other on this inspiring journey filled with laughs, loss, and lots of love.  “These six women, often through guile, open defiance, or other means, find ways to empower themselves and effect change in their lives.  And as they do so, you can’t help but be taken in!”—A! Magazine for the Arts.  This play premiered at the renowned Barter Theatre of Abington, Virginia, in June of 2009.
